not an official one, and it was selfmade and short!. LOL.

but i did a longer run a couple of years ago in austria: a hiking path turned into a luge-track in winter, not like the professional tracks but a bit icy too (no ice, no speed!): a run of about 25km! doing it skeleton style was terrific. i don't think i've ever was so frightened but also laughing so hard at the same time.  Hap-py!

Holy moly, you are a very brave person!!   Wtf.  I'd be terrified.
Ditto. I'd be shit scared!

Just read what's going on at the moment with Petra Majdic, the one who got a bronze medal in the women's cross country sprint classic after she had four broken ribs in a qualification round. She's still in hospital, but the situation isn't grave so she might go back to the Olympic village soon enough. Phew.

I'm visiting Flanny in Vancouver and still on a high! We went downtown on Saturday night and it was *packed* and full of people wearing red, waving flags, & patriotic cheering. We didn't go downtown last night; I am sure it was a madhouse! We watched THE Gold Medal hockey game from a café; how very Vancouver.  Tongue We were all excited and thought we had won the gold until the US scored with about 25 secs left! Everyone's hearts just sank.  Cry But what a way to finish with Sid the Kid (a humble, super talented young man from Nova Scotia) scoring the winning goal in sudden death overtime! Our little café erupted and honking in the streets could be heard past midnight.

It was the perfect ending to these Games which were at times heartbreaking, sad and disappointing and many times joyous, courageous and inspiring.  Wub. And I'll never forget that I got to enjoy watching these Games with crakd & flanny.  Wub.

Aw I love the Olympics!  I figured out how to work my DVR and recorded all of them and am slowly watching!  Actually I'm almost done....so much for studying for midterms!  Did anyone see Gregor Schlierenzauer?  He's a ski jumper medal-winning cutie!  He still lives with his grandma back in Austria awww

Well he's relatively young, isn't he? He's a great ski jumper (awesome results for his first Olympics!!) but I'm more of a Janne Ahonen and our national team fan. Smile.

Yeah he's got a great future ahead of him! That Janne Ahonen is pretty attractive too!  I just liked Gregor Schlierenzauer because he was just so cute to me for some reason ahahah.  And he was born in my year!  I am finally watching the closing ceremonies  Tongue

How old is he then? I was thinking about that today and if I got it right he'll be 22 this year? Anyway, would love to go to Planica next Saturday but unfortunately I'm working so I'll miss both rounds! Gregor should do great, and Adam and Simon (and mayyyyybe Robert) just as well! Cornholio.
