I just realized he's in Shallow Grave. I OWN that movie, and how'd I not see that was him? For shame on me.
I love that movie. Chris Eccleston being insane, Ewan Macgregor being hot (though sadly this is one of his few non-naked films), and Kerry Fox as the world's dowdiest femme fatale.

Have you ever seen Intimacy, with Mark Rylance? My respect for Kerry Fox zoomed after that because the film was more or less "Kerry and Mark Make a Porno", but she imbued her character with such a vivid sense of life that her acting overcame the whole "holy moses, respected British actors are clearly actually fucking and sucking onscreen!" shock value of it. (I also remember a lot of reviews harping on the "bravery" of the actors for baring their middle-aged bodies, which took me aback because I thought they both looked pretty damned good for their ages. God help the rest of us, I guess.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79XAEN9gAx0Charlie Brooker Screenwipes season 2. "It scares kids shitless, and I hate kids..so..." Seriously. Brooker FTW. (although imho, I quite liked the drunken-Doctor-banana-dacquiri-scene.)

I want nothing to do with this #10 doctor. He's goofy and NOT my #9! I can't believe it was tea that revived the doctor *just watched the Christmas special* Also, I don't like the way the Doc played Shawn's Mum at the end. My 9 wouldn't have pulled that passive aggressive BS! I felt bad for the cat nurses in S2E1. Is that messed up of me?

But when you come everything changes. The cups and saucers changed when you came in this morning. There can be no doubt, I thought, pushing aside the newspaper, that our mean lives, unsightly as they are, put on splendour and have meaning only under the eyes of love.

Nah, Nine's always going to be 'my' Doctor. It took me until the Master showed up to warm up to Ten, and that had more to do with the Master. I really liked Ten when he was with Donna but I'll never love him the way I loved Nine.

So I finished season 2. Poor Rose. She surely isn't the better for the adventures in the end, is she? You get the idea that for the rest of her life she'll start at certain noises, sure that it's the Doctor, returned for her. Never quite living in the here-and-now. That's the thing about the stories where a kid goes off and has mighty adventures; they never say what happens when the kid/teen comes back and has to then be OK with a normal boring life.
The bride was pretty funny. I thought she was gonna be the next companion.
Preview at the end for season 3. I take it that Martha chick is the next companion? I already hate her.
