And it's only €28 - €35!!!!  :o

I just wish I knew if I'll be back in Europe in Nov. I couldn't even buy Thom Paris tix because everything is so up in the air right now.  If I were confident that I could be in Europe then, I would buy tickets to the Berlin show without blinking.

Oh Ali, I hope things work out so that you can make it over.

Suzie and I are going to the second London show. So excited!  :cornholio:

I somehow missed this, but Guy Garvey got married in June to actress Rachael Stirling (Diana Rigg's daughter, btw).

Yeah, he announced it onstage at his South Bank residency. She was in the audience and I have to say, whilst she is beautiful (and I'm sure she's lovely too), she's bloody annoying in a crowd.  <_<

Yeah, I'm curious about this too (your thoughts, that is).

I like but don't yet love it. It didn't immediately grab me the way TT-o&LoE did. I adore that album, and did from the get-go. Every song. This one...not yet. Though 'Magnificent', which originally underwhelmed me, is now in my 'I love it' category.

What do you guys think?

It's a slow grower for me. Each time I listen, I like it more. I really love the strings. And Guy's voice is like a warm healing balm that always makes me take a deep breath and relax. I really wish they would come back to the US. They seem to hate us.  :(

Yes, I agree it's a slow grower. It's better with every listen.

They like the US! You guys got all those small venues on the last tour. They haven't announced all their dates yet for this next tour - only UK, Ireland, and some festivals. I'm waiting for Euro dates myself.

Seeing them in a club was an amazing experience! But that's the only time they've played here in at least eight years? I'm sure it's in no way financially rewarding for them to play the states, but Guy sure did seem to be loving playing such a small venue. I just want to repeat the experience. I love them so much more now than I did then.

He did love it, which is why they played those special smaller shows in Manchester and London that I went to. One of my favourite gigs ever.
