Yeah, peanut butter. You might not even need crackers. Just put a glob on a spoon, hollow out the middle with your fingers and pour in the powder, then smoosh it back together again and let Mu lick it off the spoon.

(this is a dog, right? ) No no Mu! my little hermit feline The only thing Mu likes a whole lot is dairy products, not even milk, like yogurt and icecream and soft cheeses he loves, but i think maybe all that lactose wont be good for him. . . My dog's name is Potacho. He's doing well and healthy. . .getting beat up by Mu a lot though. . .

Fighting Brownie : Last week, she fall out of window, 4 floors and she had nothing, not even a broken claw. The Veto said she was a miracle cat. Another Cow cat!!! I LOVE HIM!!! Awww, my Mu-sy fell off a second story building once and he was also fine. I think its cow-cat power

ah. well, if mu likes dairy, i don't see how it could hurt to give him a spoonful every day. not a bowlful or anything, but like mel said with the peanut butter- just a spoon with the powder mixed in. cat will lick it right up before he knows what he's doing.

ugh, that was not good. I was up in the office this afternoon when I hear the most ungodly cacaphony coming from the next room : simultaneous cat screeching, dog baying, and child screaming. It had been mildly thundering outside and Bandit came up the stairs - which I didn't even think he'd ever have the energy to do again, as he barely makes it to the end of our property. But apparently he made it upstairs and Mama cat flew out of her "cave" and did what she's programmed to do - fly at his face with claws and teeth out. I had to drop a blanket on her and shove Bandit to safety. My poor dog got a scratch on his nose and was scared shitless. The cat looks okay. My daughter is traumatized for life. fuuuuck.

BABIES!!
I found 2 baby kittens!!
Actually, their mama cat is a stray I feed (along with several other strays) and she kinda brought them to me.
I was getting to my apt, mama cat comes over to the car and meows.
I asked her whats going on, she meowed and walked over to the side of the building and asked me to help.
ChuuChuu (name I've given to the small white kitten) was stuck between the side of the building and the iron stairs.
A broken wall and about 30min later I finally had ChuuChuu in my bathtub, being fed with a straw (he cant eat on his own yet)
I filled his belly with nutri-cal and milk replacement for kittens for a day and a half and he was good to go.
Mama cat brought the other baby kitty (yellow) and now they are all living between my planters right outside my door.
Mama cat is VERY skinny and ChuuChuu doesnt seem to get she cant feed him enough. I pick him up when he cries and I feed him, then I put him back with mama cat so he can cuddle up with her but not try to eat from her.
Yellow kitty seems to have gotten the hang of eating on his own already so I hope ChuuChuu will learn soon.
will post pics later

I think we have very different ideas of what a stray cat is . There's a cat that had three kittens in the garage of the mall. Me, the friend to all animals, tried to make peace with these furry little fur-balls only to have them all hiss like crazed monkeys and swat their cute adorable paws. Momma cat stares me down and as soon as I enter a ten foot radius, parades them all to safety. This is seriously the millionth time we've ended up with furballs in the mall. As much as I hate to say it, the most luck we've had with keeping them alive is to separate them from their feral parent as soon as possible. I'd have about as much luck taming them (in any sense of the word) as I've had inviting a monkey in for tea.

I'd have about as much luck taming them (in any sense of the word) as I've had inviting a monkey in for tea. A stray is different than a feral cat. The basic difference is the amount of time the cat/cat's family has been out in the "wild" A feral cat is one whose mom, mom's mom, mom's mom mom, and so forth have been out there living without human "help" for long enough that even their diet requirements change. A stray is more like a homeless fully-domestic cat. Their habbits and such are still closer to pet cats. There is some strays that will be afraid of humans or that wont like being toched and such, but you can usually get them to like you with time A better written explaination http://sambot.com/stuff/fc/faq.html#16

oooh a name for the yellow kitten... what about... flea? oooor... chili! ooor thomato? thomato is cute lol I guess I'll wait to see if he names himself with his personality. I often try to let kitties do that. Like for example, one of Mu's cousins was originally named Mufu. Because of his personality is name is now Mufustopheles, lol

Good explanation. I guess we've only got one or the other down here, I was confuzzled about what the middle ground would be. Burrito is the handsome son of a feral. We rescued him from a sea of dead kitties and took him home with us when he was a just a little over a week. Because he's never known a parent cat, he's pretty convinced that he's either a parrot or a towel . There have been at least three litters born in the mall since we took over last October. Only one I separated from their mom early on and had Burrito be the stand-in. All three kitties survived, found homes, and are quite fat happy cats now. The other two litters eventually just disappeared (as did the one I mentioned last night -- well, last night). Most people look at me like this --> when I tell them that it is possible to have a cat that will let you touch it.

How do you fill your day? How does anyone fill their day? I think the truth is you fill your day most of the time by being in the washing machine of your own mind, thinking, "What's this? When does it stop? Am I enjoying it? I don't know. Oh, it's time to go to sleep! I can't, I'm worried."

My sister have adopted a kitten. Mum told me when I was In Spain and not knowing why, i was SO upset. I'm back at home now and I can't stand this (poor innocent) kitten to be here. In Flavie's house. Without her. Well, i suppose that's why i'm upset and i can't even touch him. I mean, it's a CAT, not a DOG ! So why am I reacting like this ?! Maybe I need a few days... Pictures to come. Eventually. to myself.

I think its hilarious when animals try to act like other animals My puppy thinks he's a cat cause we got him when he was about 4 weeks old. He's spent more time with Mu than with any other animal. . .he even tries to meow all the time but it ends up sounding like "Yoshi" sounds He also grooms himself like a cat and does the cat-patented leg and back stretch every time he wakes up. As soon as he learns how to use the little I will be SO happy
